What a fantastic story to emerge on World Animal Day! A Southport man has left £1.4 million to three animal charities in his last will and testament, Gordon Hardy died aged 83 after living life as a pauper.

Trustees of his estate, Brown Turner Ross solicitors have said that Mr Hardy specified he wanted his £1.4 million estate to be divided equally between the PDSA, Blue Cross and The Donkey Sanctuary.
