It’s about time!
A bill targeting corporations found guilty of Medicare or Medicaid fraud — and the executives who were in charge when it happened — passed the U.S. House by voice vote Wednesday with bipartisan support. It now moves to the Senate.
The Strengthening Medicare Anti-Fraud Measures Act would give federal health officials more power to bar companies or executives from future participation in the program. Being exiled from Medicare is called the “kiss of death” by those in the industry.
